“The best company I’ve ever worked for!”

-Is this what you want employees to say about your company?

Employees rave about a business that shows they care for them. Weekly chair massage provided by your business is a great way to not only boost employee morale, but also reduce the overall stress in the environment and lower employee time-off for sickness. Thousands of companies around the world are offering chair massage to their employees as part of a workplace wellness program, and employers are smart to do so! 83% of employees say they feel stressed out by work according to a 2013 study by Harris Interactive for Everest College.

Want to join Eddie Bauer, Google, Apple Inc., and many more companies in the ranks of employee satisfaction? “[Offering chair massage] is a benefit that doesn’t cost a whole lot of money, and it gets a lot of good will from your employees,” states one firm owner in Chicago. A company based in Ontario, Canada, reported a 25 percent decrease in time off for work-related injuries, and a $200,000 decrease in compensation claims after it implemented a massage therapy program.

How it works:

There are many different ways to offer massage in the workplace. Chair massage is done over the clothes and requires minimal space. Some employers offer full compensation as part of their workplace wellness program, while others pay a portion, and still others have the employees pay the entire portion. Massages take between 10-20 minutes per person (depending on your company’s needs) and are prescheduled with a provided schedule sheet from your therapist.

The cost is $20 for 20 minutes (or $10 for 10 minutes) with a 2 hour minimum per visit. Each company has different needs for their environment; I will be happy to answer any questions you may have, so please don’t hesitate to call.

*Be sure to ask about on-site yoga classes and personal training too!

At the Colorado Health Institute, Kathy Helm sits at a computer all day. She said one of the benefits of a massage is that it reveals problems that she didn’t realize existed. “You go in and get the massage, and you’ve got this problem and this problem and this knot,” Helm says. “Once you get it worked out, you’re able to do things better. You don’t have that tension.”

Go ahead, make the other company’s employees jealous by offering the amazing incentive of massage in your workplace.
